Salute Sergeant Robert Hughes from Dublin who carried Custer's battleflag
into the fight and who died beside his commanding officer. Contemplate
the battle roll of the 35 Irishmen who died at the Little Bighorn.
Or
if you identify more with the Indians visit the Teepee room and meditate
at the shrine of Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse who were both killed by
government forces in hotly disputed circumstances. See the Sioux cradle
used in the film Dances With Wolves. Examine the 1850s musket obtained
by the Indians as a trade weapon. Ponder upon a copy of Crazy Horse's
only known "signature". Immerse yourself in the ambience of
the noble warriors of the Plains.
If you like a drink sit at the bar and watch Sitting Bull's eyes follow
you no matter where you turn. It's uncanny. And no, it's not the effect
of the Guinness, the Irish whiskey, or that frozen Margarita you've had.
Or if pizza, steak, or Tex-Mex is your thing, then linger with your spouse
or lover in a relaxed family-run environment. Enjoy the charm and vibrant
energy of the bright pine surroundings. While reading the menu you can
even take the time to learn a few words of Lakota, the Sioux language.
